Calling all writers and those interested in learning to write.

Do you enjoy writing or have you ever thought about taking it up? Poetry, short stories, screen plays, Novellas, or even the next best-selling novel. You may even simply enjoy listening to other people’s work and the creative environment. There are several writing groups around Leicester, there are two in Evington, One at Evington Library and one at Blends Café in Downing Drive. Both take place during the day.

A new group meeting in the evenings has just begun at the Oadby Owl, with a private room with an electronic screen. East Midlands Creative Writing Group is an informal group for writers of all genres that aims to make writing and sharing writing fun and relaxing. There is no pressure and no literary hurdles to jump through.

The key aim is for everyone to enjoy and share their work if they choose to, and to encourage everyone, including new writers, to develop.

We meet on the third Thursday of the month at the Oadby Owl at 19:00. There is no cost and free parking.
