Leicestershire Police are searching a property in Broad Avenue, Evington for the body of man who has been missing for two years. A tactical support team, forensic specialists and a police cadaver dog started their investigation early on Tuesday February 10th. Police are not naming the man, whose remains they are looking for; however, twelve people have been arrested in connection with the disappearance. The arrests came after a lengthy investigation into the disappearance of a man in his 60s who was last seen in April 2024. Police have established there has been no proof of life since that point.
Police activity is expected to continue in the area in for many days if not weeks. Searches so far have included digging up the garden and dismantling an outbuilding.
