Ombudsman Reopens Surgery Case!

The Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman today confirmed that following the conclusion of the ICBs internal review that a complaint about the closure of The Common branch surgery has today been reactivated. The complainant remains unhappy with the ICB’s actions after its review. This is because they still feel it sent out incorrect statements to the public, undertook a consultation when the decision had already been made, refused to consider alternative options or the outcome of the consultation and did not consider these issues as it should when it did its review. Concern also remains that the ICB could do the same regarding a future consultation and also the public of Evington deserve to know the truth. The Ombudsman would be asking the ICB for its records today.
