NHS MEETING – BIG CHANGES UNDERWAY

A public meeting is being held on *Saturday 28th February* about large
scale changes being planned to the local NHS. These changes include the
closure of hundreds of beds, the downsizing of the General hospital and the
sell-off of some NHS property. These form part of the Better Care Together
programme, a five year plan which aspires to improve local health and
social care services but which is also finance-driven.

The meeting will take place at the

Adult Education Centre, Wellington Street, Leicester

2pm – 4pm

Saturday 28th February 2015

and is organised by the Campaign Against NHS
Priviatization whose charter on the contracting out of NHS services has
been endorsed by the UCU branch and by the Leicester and District Trades
Union Council and County Association.

The meeting will include a speaker for the Better Care Together and a
speaker against and there will be opportunities to make contributions from
the floor and ask questions.
