‘A Service of Welcome’ for the Rev’d Dr. Tom Wilson, the new Director of the St. Philip’s Centre, which promotes the study and engagement in a multi-faith society, was held in St. Philip’s Church on the evening of Tuesday, the 13th October.

The Acting Bishop of Leicester, the Rt. Rev’d John Holbrook, presided over the service of welcome to Tom, as a priest in the Diocese as well as the new Director of the Centre.

The congregation contained representatives of the Diocese, the different faith groups in the community, the City Council and members of St. Philip’s and Tom’s previous parish, where he was a vicar in the centre of Gloucester.

The Archdeacons of Leicester, and Loughborough, presided over a series of informal welcomes to the new Director.

Tom has now moved to Leicester, with his wife, Felicity, and their two young children, Elisabeth and Edward.
