Houghton Lodge Farm-an Update
Between the second and third articles on the ending of the lease for the successful dairy herd at Houghton Lodge Farm, the email below has been recieved from Farmcare in response to my inquiry; make of it as you will.
“Dear Sir
We respond to your message on behalf of our client Farmcare Trading Limited.
The decision to bring the tenancy of the dairy farm to a conclusion was made on commercial grounds and follows our clients remit with regard to their management objectives of their farmed assets. The land is to be relet to a farming business, which is known to our client and well respected locally. The Mulbery Homes site is nothing to do with our client and is not relevant to the decision noted above.
The local MP made a similar enquiry on this matter a while ago and has had a reply accordingly.
Yours faithfully
