High Street Closure

If you use Evington Village or pass through it, you cannot fail to have noticed that High Street has been closed since late May 2024. The reason being that Cadent are renewing gas pipes on behalf of the City Council. The works are sheduled to last until 24th June 2025 and will progress up High Street, along Church Road and along Main Street. Traffic management along Church Road and Main Street are as yet unclear but given how busy Church Road is, it is most likely to be managed by one way traffic lights. So more disruption to come.
