Evington Village Fete and Show in August 2025 – photographs by Harbajan Lotay

This event is organised by the Fete and Show Committee.  Chris Hossack, Chair, said, “We were delighted to welcome the Lord Mayor of Leicester to open the event and to have her with us throughout the afternoon talking with stall holders, visitors, entertainers and giving out the prizes.

Show entries were up again this year, and it was great to have some scarecrows outside the marquee.

Huge thanks to everyone who made it all happen, to our sponsors for their willingness to back the raffle and tombola, to all our volunteers, be they stewards, ticket sellers, tombola, bookstall games or serving food.

Our performers put on a great display: Lutterworth Town Band, The Bakanalia Morris Dancers, Street beats and Dave Letts all gave a real excitement to the day:  The range of stalls provided plenty of choice and all seemed well pleased with the customer response.

Big thanks to our committee who work so hard in the weeks leading up to the day.  And most of all thank you for coming, and if you didn’t, then come next year.
