LEANNE MITCHELL

Evington actor Leanne Mitchell has recently starred as the Duchess of York in the superb production of Shakespeare’s RICHARD III at Curve theatre. Curve used the political landscape of contemporary Russia as a backdrop for this production.

Leanne, Director of Drama at Catmose College explains her motivation “I am a drama teacher and often audition students so I thought I should put myself through the audition process – I believe it’s good to do things that scare you once in a while.

I feel lucky to have been part of this tremendous experience and thankful for the opportunity to do something amazing. It’s a real thrill to rehearse and perform in my local theatre and I’m developing lots of new skills that I will be able to take back into the classroom to teach my students”.
