Crown Hills Art Society exhibits at Evington Show

Local art society, Crown Hills Art Society, recently had the opportunity to mount a small exhibition of members’ work at St. Denys church during the Evington Show this year. Visitors were able to chat to some of the artists manning the exhibition and view the work (some of which was for sale) in the main aisle of the church. Members said how much they enjoyed having a steady stream of visitors viewing their work and receiving comments and feedback about the art on display.

Crown Hills Art Society is open to anyone who has a liking of art and there is no submission of work needed to join. They hold a monthly evening meeting on the second Thursday of each month at Crown Hills Community College. The first meeting is free so please get in touch via their email crownhillsartsociety@gmail.com to find out more.

The annual members’ art exhibition will be held at the College on the weekend of October 26th/27th 10:30 am – 4:30 pm and entry to the public is free. Parking for the college is off Gwendolen Road, Evington. Some artworks will be for sale and some members are able to do commissions so please come along and enjoy the exhibition and maybe take home a piece of art. Homemade cakes and refreshments will also be available.
